Andrew Stevens (Andy) has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio/TV/Film from Baylor University and his Master of Arts Degree in Speech Communications from Marquette University. His teaching career started with positions as a teaching assistant at Baylor and Marquette. He taught full-time for six years at Missouri Baptist University (MBU) and part-time at Wallace State Community College in Alabama.
Mr. Steven’s professional experience has included three years on radio station staffs in New Orleans, LA (WBSN-FM) and Waco, TX (KWBU-FM). After Marquette, he worked six years as remote production manager for the Baptist Telecommunication Network of Lifeway Christian Resources in Nashville, TN. After MBU, he worked five years in a variety of roles for the Houston/Galveston Branch of AVW Audio Visual (now Freeman Audio-Visual). Mr. Stevens was led from Texas to serve as Minister of Media at First Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama. In this capacity, he worked as the General Manager for WCQT-LP, the only local television station in Cullman County.
Mr. Steven’s ministerial career started with worship leadership in Nashville, TN. This was followed by part-time and interim service in youth and music ministry in the St. Louis area. His first long-term ministerial service was in Galveston, Texas as Associate Pastor for Music Leadership at Seaside Baptist Church. This is also where he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1998. His first full-time ministerial position was as Minister of Media for First Baptist Church Cullman. He currently serves as occasional supply leading worship in area churches.
Mr. Stevens has been married to his wife, Jennie, for over 20 years and they have been blessed with four children. He also performs with the City of Greenville Pipes and Drums with his daughter, is a member of the Greenville Breakfast Rotary Club, and is active with the NGU Theatre.
